My condolences to the Bass Family. As a kid growing up, we often visited our grandfather whom everyone called "Dave" and folks would gather for many occasions, celebrating and having a good time on 8th Avenue, East Akron. It was a party if June was there! I have many fond childhood memories of everyone playing cards, talking, and having a good time at my granddad’s. I found a picture of him and Slick at our house on Wall St in the 80’s.

Uncle June is who I grew up with, wrestled and did martial arts with as a kid on Ottawa, that front yard has many memories! In my opinion there was no one that cooked barbecue better than him? I lost touch the last couple years when I moved away, but I cherish the memories we shared, gonna miss you sir! Your nephew and friend, I’ll think of you every time I talk to your kids who all shared your gravely voice!
