Karen Denise Taylor (affectionately known as Niecee to some and Mimi to others) was born December 19, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio. Karen received her salvation at a young age and was raised in church. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1972. She married and relocated to Richmond, Virginia. Years later she returned to Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Cuyahoga Community College and worked at Warner & Swasey, National City Bank, (PNC) and later American Greetings.
Karen had a full life and she enjoyed Alfred Hitchcock and classic movies. She was also an excellent seamstress. She had a knack for being a homemaker. Her three main loves were her boys, homemade cooking/baking, and information technology. She loved sharing all of her cooking with her family, and we loved eating it.
Karen is survived by her sons, Charles Clifton Taylor III and Jonathan Edward Thomas; her parents Alphert & Rosetta Hardy and siblings: Jacquelyn O’Neal (Garry), Cheryl Parks (Michael), Lee Hardy (Darinka), Deborah Yeldell, Dolores Chapman (Thomas), Carla McKissack (Avis) and Kimberley Hardy. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
