To the family: Our deepest sympathy to the family. We were members of Christ Temple Baptist Church and grew up together there. Katherine was a sweet spirit with much love in her heart. We will always have fond memories of her. Praying for her family for strength and for comfort. Naomi M. (Cotton) Gibbs

Dearest Mother-in-LOVE, The memories we made are too many to mention. From the first time we had lunch together, (just the two of us - no kids, no Corey, just "us") to the many times we found you the perfect top to match a pair of fabulous pants! But, no memory beats the following: -During one of our many afternoons out, Jasmine and Imani were eating. You looked over at them, smiled that beautiful smile and said, "Awww, look at them eating". I didn't understand how something so routine could bring such joy. Then Nia was born and it all made sense. Thank you for being joy, in action. -When Corey was recently hospitalized, you came to spend the afternoon with us. The peace you brought to the room was palpable. As you might recall, I went to sleep shortly after you arrived. I didn't "fall" asleep, I WENT to sleep. It was the first time I felt safe enough to sleep and not worry about Corey. Thank you for being peace, in action. And, finally, -When our mother passed, Lidell and I felt so abandoned, forsaken, even. Without hesitation, you seamlessly and selflessly stepped in to mother us. The partnership you (obviously) formed with our mother, before she passed, was evident in every phone call, laugh and piece of advice. Thank you for being love, in action. For the memories... With love, Fayth & Lidell "It's just alright."
