Kenneth Alan Maxwell A.K.A Kenny, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 3, 1950 to the parents of Sarah Lee Maxwell and Robert Bray who both proceeded him death. Kenny, attended Cleveland Public Schools and obtained his high school diploma from East Technical High School where he then joined the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge.

Kenny, accepted Christ at an early age singing in the choir with his brothers. In his later years he joined East Mount Zion Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. A Charles Bowie. However, his love for his church home never allowed him to depart so he continued his worship faithfully until his passing under Rev. Cash who he spoke highly of. Kenny was known for his fashionable style of dress on Sundays that was considered his “Sunday’s Best”. Kenny always encouraged his family and friend to gain a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Anyone who engaged with Kenny, knew it was never a dull moment with him. Kenny enjoyed all kinds of activities that required him to socialize with family and friends. Kenny, was a member of the Ikard Picket Horse Club, where he participated in parades throughout the City of Cleveland. Kenny also enjoyed his home life entertaining, cooking, singing, and talking politics with good friends. Most importantly, he enjoyed showing off his fashionable clothes he was known for. He definitely was the spark of people lives, for the ones who knew him.

As Kenny, begin networking with leaders throughout the City of Cleveland he discovered his passion for procurements with the focus on inspections. His passion for this field of work enhanced his skills that opened up opportunities which allowed him to work with community programs throughout the City of Cleveland as an independent contractor. Although Kenny, worked for several entities exercising his skills and abilities; he became an employee for City of Cleveland in the Building and Housing Department where he took great pride in his work responsibilities.

Although, Kenny faced some health challenges he never allowed it to interrupt his daily life. With great support from both family and friends Kenny, departed his life leaving behind his only child Nicole Scullark, two grandchildren Edward Mayo and Eleah Mayo, five great grandchildren Cardeair Mayo, Brooklyn Sanders, Carter Mayo, Cali Mayo and Harmony Williams, one sister Christine Davis (West Hempstead, NY) five brothers Norman Maxwell and Douglas Maxwell, Sheldon Bray(deceased), Johnny Bray (deceased), and Robert Bray Jr. (deceased) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
