Kenneth B. Fry, affectionately known as “Kenny B,” was born on December 11, 1947, to McKinley Fry Sr. and Norma Jean Fry in Akron, Oh. He attended South High School. He was raised in Akron but lived with many family members throughout the states.
Kenny was the V.P. of Frys. Inc. for many years. Kenny loved to bowl and teach the youth. He was also the first black junior bowler to bowl with white kids in Akron. He was the head coach of Junior All-Stars early on and head coach for Garfield High School later as well. He also loved baseball and played for the Avalon Baseball Team. Kenny was an extremely kind man and helped the community tremendously. He was a big brother and father figure to a lot of people and his legacy will live on through many years.
Kenny departed this life on July 10, 2022, at Bath Creek Estates after a battle with cancer.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Norma Jean Fry and grandmother Doris Calhoun.
Left to cherish his memories and keep his name going, his two sons, Kenny Guin, and Royce Fry; three grandchildren, Kenny Guin, Jr., Kenya Guin, and Mira Fry; brother, Mickey Fry, Jr.; long life friend, Wanda Jones; as well as a host of many other family and friends, too many to name.
