Officer Kenneth C. Jones also was known as “Kenny” age 55, of Akron, OH, went home to be with his Lord & Savior on November 7, 2020. He was born on April 19, 1965, in Tempe, Arizona, and was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio.
He is a 1983 graduate of Garfield High School. He attended the University of Akron and graduated from the Akron Police Academy. As a Police officer, Kenny served his community for almost 26 years.
He was an excellent artist and he loved to sing. He had an appreciation for all genres of music. Kenny was a big kid at heart. He was a fan of Marvels comics, Star Wars movies, movie theatre popcorn, and a lover of Cedar Point Amusement Park. His greatest joy was his love for the Lord and his children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara A. Baker (Hill); grandparents, Clarence and Sadie Hill; first wife, Rhonda M. Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Stacy Hairston-Jones; 3 children from his first marriage, Havilland, Eunice, and Xavier; father, Mark Jones Jr. (Brenda); brothers and sisters, Jacques D. McGregor Jr., Chris Jones, Michael Jones (Tynill), Blese A. Richardson, III (Marilyn), Marnetta E. O’Neil, Chanda Jones, Tamiko Richardson, Shayla McGregor, and Master Sergeant Paulette Ware (Antrell); beloved in-laws, Brenda Hairston, James Hairston, brother, James E. (Tamarva) Hairston; 3 special moms, Minister Joyce (Jones) Frazier, Paulette McGregor I, Dr. Betty Robbins-March (Thomas); uncles, Richard C. Hill (Shirley), Maurice Jones; aunt Jean Spaulding (Joseph); special friends, Greg Davis, Greg Hullum, and Juan Agnew; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
