An extremely powerful storm passed through Cleveland, Ohio on July 25, 1939. The next morning, Kenneth Alvin Fowler was born to Reverend Robert Lee and Susie B. Fowler. Ken was the tenth born out of eleven children.
Ken’s spiritual family environment provided an atmosphere that greatly influenced his acceptance of the Lord at an early age. His home was full of people that loved the Lord; they continuously sang and praised the Lord.
Later, the family moved to Bedford, Ohio and Ken loved it. Another favorite pastime of Ken’s was fishing at Tinkers Creek with his bamboo pole.
Eventually, the family relocated to Akron, Ohio. Ken had an entrepreneurial spirit that was exhibited by his collecting worms and depositing bottles to sell. While attending Robinson Elementary School, Ken began doing custodial work at the school in the fourth grade which he continued throughout his tenth-grade year.
