Kenneth Gene Thompson was born in Twiggs County, GA on October 26, 1939.  Kenneth was the only child born to Thomas Early Thompson (deceased) and Nellie (Stephens) Bostic (deceased).

Kenneth came to Cleveland at an early age. He lived with his Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Sweet (both deceased). He attended East Tech high school in Cleveland. He married Nellie Lashley and to that union 5 sons were born. He retired from the Cleveland Museum of Art where he worked for 17 years.

He loved music watching romance movies and old tv shows. He liked playing the guitar and played for the participants of the McGregor Pace program. He had a love for cars and dressing well.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories his sons Kenneth Lewis, Anthony Thompson, Ricky Thompson, Steven Thompson, Jeffery Thompson Sr. (Rochella), and Timothy Thompson (Robin), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of beloved family and friends.
