Kenneth M. Thornton was born on August 26, 1943 in Bulger, Pennsylvania to the late William Albert Thornton and Sarah Elizabeth Veil.
Ken was baptized at an early age at the First Baptist Church in McDonald Pennsylvania. He moved to Ohio shortly after graduating from high school to continue his education at Ohio University.
Reading Western Novels was his favorite hobby. When wanting to be more physical, he played basketball in his younger years and golf in his later ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Mitch, and sisters Sis, Peg, and Lena.
His surviving family is Lynnice (wife). Sons: KT Thornton, Mark Thornton (Marie), Paul Thornton (Yolanda), Wesley Thornton (Sara): Daughter Whitney Pinkcett (Ivan), Grandchildren – Greg II, Macai, Michayela, Bryce, Brooklyn, Brayden, Kennedi, Austin, Asher, Kyng, Ileigh and Khamya. Sisters – Doris (Mike) Thomas, Madlyn (Jimmy) Bower, Jean Turner. Brothers – Lionel Thornton, Jerry Thornton (Karen). Two of his close friends since high school, Neil Veydt and Tyrone Anderson. They played together as starters for their high school basketball team. Additionally, he has a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.
