Kenneth “Kenny” Sharpe Jr was born to the late Kenneth Sharpe Sr and Eunice Mae (Wyatt) Britt on March 9, 1968. Kenny departed from his earthly life at the young age of 57 on January 2nd, 2026, after fighting his battle with cancer.
Kenny was born and raised in Akron, Ohio where he graduated from Central-Hower high school in 1986 where he participated in football, track and loved to play soccer. After high school he then enlisted in the military and became a proud veteran after serving in the Army. Kenny was a devoted Christian where he loved to attend United Baptist Church and also served as a deacon.
Throughout Kenny’s life he was a chef as cooking was something he was very passionate about and loved to do. Almost just as passionate as he was about being a Cleveland Browns fan. He was a loving father and friend, he loved to dance and have fun and everyone who knew him would say he was a funny person who loved to make jokes, and he will be truly missed.
Kenny is proceeded in death by his grandmothers Hiawatha Massey and Elena Wyatt, grandfather Nathan Wyatt Sr, uncle Nathan Wyatt Jr, Aunt Claudia JoAnn Burks and nephew Jerome Taylor. He leaves to cherish his memory to his 3 children Darsean, Victoria and DeAveon Sharpe, as well as Felisha Marsh-Hubbard and Jaqueline Hicks, his 4 grandchildren Jasean Boyd, Jenise Griffin, Damion and Emyah Sharpe, his 3 siblings Guy Patrick Wyatt, Doretha “Rita” Jackson and Renae Taylor, half-brother Don Riggins, his uncle Kevin Massey, his cousins Clyde Weems, Joseph Harrison Jr, Chris Ryan (Jackie) Dennis, Aalayah Muhammad, and Samuel Muhammad, his nephew Lamont McMillian and his son Lamont his lifelong friends Wilson (Kim) Campbell, Thomas (Cassandra) Ivery, Sylvester Johnson, Shelton Smith, special friend Carol Wimley and friend Fredrick Washington and a host of other family members, friends, and church members.
