Kenneth Sharpe Sr. was called to glory on April 6, 2022. He was born in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Hiawatha Sharpe. He was a life long resident of Akron, Ohio; raised on the south side. He was a graduate of Garfield High School, where he majored in fine Arts. He was also captain of the football team and ran track, along with being a member of the Touchdown Club.
Kenneth loved astrology, reading, swimming, bowling and music. He served his country in the U. S. Army for 2 years active duty and 3 years in the Reserves, before returning home to work for BF Goodrich. Kenneth had many work experiences that enriched his life. He loved being with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hiawatha Sharpe; wife, Eunice Sharpe; uncle, Joseph Harrison Sr. and aunt, Willie Mae Harrison.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his only child, Kenny Sharpe Jr.; grandchildren, Darsean (Era) Sharpe, Victoria Sharpe and DeAveon Sharpe; great grandchildren, Jaysean, Janice, Damian and Emhya; bonus kids, Patrick Wyatt, Rita Jackson and Renae Taylor; brothers, Kevin (April) Massey and Keith Lewis (Judy); more than a cousin (brother), Joey Harrison Jr., and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age, and carried out his Christian duties by helping others. He will truly be missed by all. I love you, Dad.
