Kevin D’Andre Harris, born February 11, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Millie (Smith) Harris and the late Leroy Harris. Kevin attended Evangelist Temple Church of God and Christ throughout his childhood years, starting his lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.
Kevin was educated in the Cleveland Heights School District, where he developed a strong love for sports that carried out throughout his high school years. He excelled in football, track, and wrestling, earning numerous accolades, including multiple awards in both wrestling and track. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Kevin was an especially devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, faithfully supporting his teams throughout every season. His determination, discipline, and competitive spirit were evident in all he pursued.
Beyond athletics, Kevin had a deep passion for music and was a gifted drummer. His love for rhythm and sound became a meaningful part of his life and identity. As a child, Kevin’s passion for music was clear. Even before his first drum set, he found happiness in turning pots and pans into instruments, creating rhythms that spoke to his natural gift.
In his younger years, Kevin was actively involved in community work, especially with youth. His passion for music and connection with people led him into Cleveland’s vibrant nightlife scene, where he worked as a promoter and provided security for various local and national acts. Along the way, he formed relationships and collaborated with many creatives. He also explored music production, aspiring to help develop emerging talent.
Kevin later pursued a career in technology, earning his A+ Certification in Computer Technology. This achievement opened doors for him in the mobile phone and media technology industry. He dedicated many years as a manager at Revol Wireless before continuing his career with T-Mobile. Most recently, he worked in retail sales at Charter Spectrum, where he remained employed until the time of his passing.
In recent years, Kevin faced health challenges, yet he remained focused on building his future. He proudly established his own LLC just days before his passing, reflecting his drive and entrepreneurial spirit that had been a burning desire for years. He had also been studying investment strategies and planned to pursue stock trading full-time, demonstrating his commitment to growth and self-improvement.
Kevin was known by his family as someone who “walked to the beat of his own drum.” He was strong-willed, determined, and unwavering once he set his mind on a goal. Above all, he was a devoted family man, a protector, a supporter, and a source of love. He often referred to his mother, Millie Harris, as his best friend, a testament to their deep and special bond.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Leroy Harris. He is lovingly remembered by his mother Millie Harris, his sister, Veronica Sheree Harris, his brother Terome LaRoy Harris (Kimberly), his best friend like a brother Idrissa Davis and his special aunt Rosa Marie Hubbard along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
