On June 2, 2023, Kevin Tyrone Finney transitioned from Earth to Glory. Kevin Tyrone Finney was born July 31, 1964, in Akron, Ohio to Shirley Ann Finney at Akron General Hospital.

Kevin was a resident of the Southwest Akron area the majority of his life where he was always available to assist those in need. Kevin assisted the community by helping fix bikes, cutting grass, and taking out trash. Through his lifetime he attended Unity Holiness Ministries where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, yet never overcome by his struggles. Kevin had a good heart.

Kevin was an extraordinary person. He had many talents but drawing and working on cars would have to be two of the greatest. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great nieces, and great nephews.

Kevin is preceeded in death by his grandparents, C.B. and RosaLee Finney, and uncles Melvin Lee and Cleophus Finney.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Finney; aunts Mary Pearl and Pamela Lavern Finney; brother Vyrone (Jamie) Finney and sister Shenyce Finney; six children: Nicole Pierrepaul, Tonisha Clemis, Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy Jasmine (Alexander) Haugabook, Kevin (Ana) Banks, Shanay Gillespie, and Mylesha Buchanan; nieces SeKoria Finney, Sydney Finney, and Niomi Finney; nephew JorDaun Finney; 20 Grandchildren; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a host of other family members.
