Khalil, a cherished son, partner, grandson, father, brother, uncle, and friend, was born January 13, 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving parents, A’qilah Al-Amin and Khalil Brown.
Khalil began a lifelong journey as a faithful servant of Allah and a member of First Cleveland Masjid, where he found joy and peace being a believer.
Khalil attended East Cleveland Public Schools, moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, and Atlanta, Georgia, where he attended Clara Muhammad Islamic Schools. Khalil returned to Cleveland, where he graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio.
Khalil had a profound love for his family. In 2007, Khalil met Dorothea “BabyG” and they began a relationship that became an important and cherished part of his life.
Out of their union, four boys were created: Davion, Khalil Jr., Khali, and Khylan.
Khalil loved being a father to his sons. Khalil encouraged his sons to be the best of the best.
Khalil had a dapper appearance and a warm smile that lit up the room when he entered. He had the personality of a king that led his family.
Khalil leaves to cherish his beloved mother, Aqilah Al-Amin; his loving father, Khalil Brown; his sisters, Laronne, Attiyah, Tamara, and Latoya; brother, Zined; the love of his life, Dorothea Carter; and children, Davion, Khalil, Khali, who preceded in death, and Khylan; his grandmother, Earline Ferguson; his great-grandmother, Bestie Williams, who preceded him in death; also grandfather Jewel Ferguson.
He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
