Khendra Michelle Reed, age 48, passed away in her family home on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Kendra was born to the union of Clarence and Ruth Reed on November 28, 1974, in Cleveland, Ohio. She obtained her early childhood education at Mercer Elementary School and Shaker Heights Middle School. She later completed her high school requirements in Special Education at Shaker Heights High School.

As a young child, Khendra developed her love for dolls, particularly Cabbage Patch Dolls. Her favorite pass time was telling her brother which dolls to order for her. She was very proud of her collection, which grew to over 40 dolls. Khendra also enjoyed travel, especially on the Caribbean Cruise Ship, where she breathed in the fresh ocean air and watched the cruise line entertainment. Some of her other favorite trips included traveling to Alabama, California, Nevada, and Canada.

Khendra attended church with her mom at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed hearing the choir sing and watching the baptismal services. She often repeated what she saw by attempting to baptize her dolls at home following the service. She had a kind heart and a passion for music and often listened to the Lionel Richie and the Commodores.

Khendra leaves to grieve and will forever be remembered by her devoted parents, Clarence and Ruth Reed; her beloved older brother, Darryl Reed who spent a large portion of his life caring for Khendra and seeing that she had the many things she wanted; three aunts, Dorothy Purefoy, Lorene Smith, and Mary Louise Tucker; two uncles, Willie Marshall and Roland Marshall (Evelyn); and a host of special cousins who admired her.
