Kim Adams went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2023. She will continue to be loved and missed by many.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 14, 1960 and later moved to Akron, Ohio in 1974. Kim graduated from Buchtel High School earning the title of “Most Intelligent” in 1978. She continued her education and received her AAS Degree in Chemical Technology from The University of Akron in 1984.
She worked for Social Security Administration, later working for Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service for 33 years until she retired.
Kim enjoyed writing and reciting poetry. Traveling and art were some of her greatest passions. Most of all, she loved hanging out with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann (Barnes) Adams and father, Arthur Roland Adams.
She is survived by son, Patrick Arthur Adams; godmother, Norman Jean Elder-McKnight; god-brothers and sisters, Jacob Elder, John Reginald Elder, Norman Steven Elder and Patricia McKnight; close cousins, LaMar Barnes, Paulette Wells, Valinda Sanders, Deidre Thompson, Cherise Brandon and Pamela Brown; devoted friends and acquaintances, Yvette Ray, Cookie, Garlence Larkins and Duane Hamilton.
