Lagena Lewis was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who held a special place in the hearts of many. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 5th, 1963 to Geneva and Jack Terry Sr (now deceased). After a long battle with cancer, she passed away on January 3rd, 2024, at the age of 60.
Throughout her life, Lagena was a fighter who never gave up. She is survived by her mother, Geneva Thomas, her brothers, Jack, and Wayne (married to Okhui) and her sisters, Beverly, and Chanel (married to Byron Sr). Lagena was blessed with children: Craig Jr, Curtis, and Monique (Anthony), and grandchildren: Miesha, Monasia, Teddy Jr, Trell, Tristan, Curtis Jr, and Mckaio (unborn). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Keisha, Jamaya, Stanley, Byron Jr, Brandon, and great-niece, Jayla, Taylor as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
After graduating from John Adams High School, Lagena began her career as a nursing assistant before finding her calling at Sherwin-Williams corporate headquarters where she worked for 33 years until her passing. She was proud of her work and devoted to her family. She was an amazing mother to her children and grandchildren, and a loving daughter to her mother. She was always there for those who needed her and will be deeply missed. Lagena accepted Christ in her life, and her faith remained strong until the very end. She continued to attend online church services every Sunday and took Holy Communion every first Sunday with her mother. Lagena will always be remembered and cherished in our thoughts.
