Lajean Ronetha Smith, 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 5, 2019, with her family by her side, rejoicing with her as she entered into God’s kingdom.
She was born to the late Columbus and Elizabeth Morgan on May 20, 1935, in Medina, Ohio. Lajean graduated from Buchtel High School in 1954. She married her best friend, Edward J. Smith in 1958.
If you ever had a conversation with her, you could expect her to ask you about your relationship with Jesus Christ. When Lajean was not working, she spent time at church praying with individuals on the prayer line or sharing time with her children and grandchildren. Lajean was a Missionary-Evangelist with Evangelist Judy Carter Schaffer (Voice of Faith Outreach Ministries), she attended Full Gospel Assembly Shaker Heights, Ohio, pastored by the late Joseph Frano, Grace Cathedral, Reverend Ernest Angeley, and Akron Alliance Fellowship, Pastor Gus Brown.

She truly cared about others and wanted people around her to be happy and to know her Jesus. Lajean loved the Lord. She was employed by the Akron Board of Education, Transportation for 45 years and was still working at the time of her death. She never departed from anyone without saying Psalms 91, and “Our God is a good God” or “Our God is an awesome God”.
