Larry D. Shoulders Jr. was born on June 16, 1992, in Cleveland, OH to Janet Shoulders and the late Larry Donell Shoulders Sr. Larry was the third out of four children born to his parents.
At an early age Larry was baptized while attending True Light Missionary Baptist Church with his grandparents, siblings and cousins. Larry loved going to church with his grandparents every Sunday while sitting in the back pew eating snacks from the store next door, and peppermints from his grandmother’s purse.
Larry attended Cleveland public schools an
d graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 2010. After high school, Larry entered the workforce working different jobs trying to find his way. He was a hard worker and always kept a job. In the end he was employed by The Plain Dealer via Sensical Inc. and The City of Brecksville Service Dept. via Triad.
Larry was very active in everything he did and always loved to have a good time. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved to watch wrestling and loved to talk smack and just shoot the breeze. He had a silly and playful personality and loved to crack jokes. He would do anything to help anybody and help cheer you up if you were down by making you laugh. He always had that infectious smile on his face and that contagious laugh. Larry had a loving spirit and was a joy to be around. He left a forever memory with everyone he came into contact with.
On July 7, 2023, Larry passed away so suddenly and unexpectedly. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his father Larry D. Shoulders Sr., maternal grandparents Lillie B. and James F. Griffin Sr. and paternal grandfather Clardis Shoulders.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Janet Shoulders; sisters Shinata Shoulders and LaToya Robinson (Doug); brother Jamel Shoulders; nephews Raymir Barnes, Chontez Harris and Davarj Robinson; niece Shyia Crawford; and paternal grandmother Eunice Shoulders; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
