LaShondra Deshauwn Thompson-Brown age 29, entered our lives on June 25, 1992, in Akron, OH.  She passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2021. Our hearts will forever hold a place for her. Affectionately known as “Shon Shon,” she was the firstborn child, grandchild, great-grandchild, and niece.  Wherever she went, you were certain to hear, “I Love You,” when it was time to part ways.  She enjoyed being a big sister and loved her siblings dearly.  She was thoroughly smitten with her nieces and nephews.  She adored her mom.  She often challenged her patience but expressed how much she loved and appreciated her mom’s unwavering dedication, love, advice, and honesty.  She also enjoyed a special friendship with her dad.  LaShondra met the love of her life on May 8, 2018, and named her, Lola.  Her life was forever changed, and we saw her grow into the title of mother.

LaShondra could be demanding and stubborn in the face of her truth.  But she forgave easily, loved hard, spoke her truth, accepted yours, and was never afraid to express how much she cared for you; and what her faith in God meant to her.  She will be remembered most for these qualities and for her ability to bring the “sunshine” to the rain.

LaShondra was preceded in death by her sister, LaDaizhane (Daisy Mae) Thompson; brother, Earl Brown Jr.; grandmother, Jetty Sue (J-Sue) Brown; grandfather, Roy Odom Sr.; great-grandmother, Joan Thompson and great-grandfather, Floyd Easley Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, MarQuita Thompson, father, Earl Brown Sr.; stepdad, Preston Sims II.; siblings, MarQuesha (Arlo Sr.) Thompson-Brown, Lawrence Felton (Breonie) Miller III, Prestyohna Sims, Preston Sims III, Prince Preston Sims, and Jay’Veon Brown. She also leaves her love and memories to her adored nieces and nephews, Ma’Desty Peters, Arlo Mosley Jr., Lawrence Miller IV, Jersey Mosley, and Island Miller; grandparents, Connie Odom, Keith Jordan, Sr., and Earl Jones (aka Jake).

She enjoyed a special bond with her great-grandmothers, Marilyn (Jeanette) Easley, and Minnie (Nana) Brown. She also leaves her love to her special friend, love and co-parent, Londen Fischer; birthday twin/brother, Shatwone (Twone) Peters; special BFF and chosen sister, Destanie (Des) Carter.  Lashondra had the love and dedication from so many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and she truly loved them back!
