In Loving Memory of LaTeisa LaNore Crockett
LaTeisa LaNore Crockett, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was called home
to be with her Lord on October 21, 2024, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Born on October 26, 1977,
to Richard and Opal Griffin, LaTeisa was the younger of their two children. She brought joy,
kindness, and loyalty to those she loved.
LaTeisa’s life was filled with dedication to her family, her faith, and her community. A proud
graduate of James Ford Rhodes, she pursued higher education with determination, earning a
Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Bachelor’s in Human
Resource Management from Chancellor University, and a Certificate in Computer Administration
from Sawyer Business College. Her relentless drive to grow in knowledge and skill led her to a
fulfilling career with Cuyahoga County, where she faithfully served for 25 years, most recently as
a Contract Analyst with Health and Human Services.
Her greatest love and joy came from her family. LaTeisa met her soulmate, Tai-Ron Rodriquez
Crockett, and together they built a beautiful life, welcoming four children. Later, Her role as a
mother and grandmother brought her immeasurable happiness, and her family was the heart of
everything she did.
A woman of unwavering faith, LaTeisa found her spiritual home at Ebenezer Assembly of Christ,
where she renewed her life to Jesus in 2017. She served with enthusiasm and love, leading the
women’s ministry, “Ladies of Victory,” as president from 2020 onward. Her kindness, warmth,
and sense of purpose made her a beloved leader, as did her devotion to serving in children’s
church.
LaTeisa’s joy for life extended to her love of food and adventure. A “foodie” at heart, she
delighted in trying new restaurants and planning excursions with friends, always with a special
appreciation for cheese. Every year, as her birthday approached, she eagerly planned new
dining adventures, including her famous cheese trail tour with friends.
Known lovingly as the “spreadsheet queen,” La Teisa brought her meticulous organization skills
to every area of her life. Whether coordinating family schedules, managing finances, or planning
daily outfits for vacations, her knack for keeping everything in order was both impressive and
endearing. Many fondly remember how they could find themselves unexpectedly added to one
of her famous spreadsheets.
