Laura Angel Alston, age 57, passed away on January 26, 2024…

Chelsea Harkins left a message on March 23, 2024:
My Aunt had always been the life of the party, she was one vibrant soul. All of my life, I recall her always helping people out and keeping the family together in the most recent years since the patriarch of our family had fallen ill. So, she was always learning a new skill set to help with the care of our family, house, and anything that was of interest to her. I will miss her deeply because, she always knew how to have a good time. She always cared about her family and would do anything that she could do in her power to help someone as she had helped me a whole lot. She was everything, and she was a firm believer in education. Days have gone by and it’s hard to believe that she is no longer with us, as she has been reunited with our loved ones and is no longer suffering. I felt like this was the right thing to do— making this condolence because she was an active member in our family and was also the big brother of the family and would always help when she could. I enjoyed the car conversations we would always have on our way to wherever the destination would be whether it was a doctors appointment, grocery shopping, school shopping, or for the holidays.

Aunty was one of the smartest people I knew. A majority of what I know now I learned from her. I will always cherish her for all the knowledge she bestowed upon me. I wish she was still alive so I could make up for different stuff.
