Laura Mae Myers “Butter”, of 1010 Rosemary Square went home to be with our Lord and Savior March 1, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Butter, as she was often called by loved ones, was born on April 22, 1960 to the late James A. and Catherine Myers.
She was educated in the Akron Public School System and was recently working toward a degree in business. She found her niche in the field of customer service, holding various positions at the U.S. Postal Service, Ohio Mentoring Inc., as well as the John S. Knight Center, until she retired due to her health, but that didn’t slow her down. Laura found her passion for sewing again and began making custom hobo bags, kitchen sets and aprons. She was preparing to launch her own business called, Laura’s Custom Creations D.B.A. BB’s Bags to showcase her skills and creativity with colors, patterns and design.
