Lavina Harris was born in Cleveland, OH on August 16, 1963, to Verline Harris and Curtis Lee Wilson. She attended East Cleveland City Schools and later received her GED. Lavina found Christ at an early age, and she loved the Lord. She showed that love to her patients as she worked in the healthcare field and through the raising of her children and grandchildren.
Lavina was always the glue of the family, she loved to cook and party with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loved ones, that was the highlight of her life. Lavina always had her door open, she never let anyone she loved to be hungry or homeless, she loved hers and she showed it.
Lavina had a great soul and spirit. She was loved by everyone she knew. She was the boss, and we all knew it. Lavina had a special bond with every one of her grandkids, she cared for them and cherish each one of them to show them her love and they loved her too. She was Ma when their mothers weren’t around and grandma all the time. Lavina was a hard worker, who was always chasing money. She provided for her family and others, and she did it because it made her feel good. She was our everything and she will deeply be missed.
Lavina was preceded in death by her father Curtis Lee Wilson, two siblings Leonard Collins and Orlando Wilson, Aunt Maxine Harris, and Grandmother Gladys Harris.
Lavina leaves behind a loving partner Larry Henry; her one special son who was her king, DeFrantz Harris (Sandy); her mini-me Dena Harris (Mike); her baby girl Danicque Harris (Jesse).
