Lawrence Holt (Larry) was born September 4, 1951 to Dan and Maggie Holt, the second of nine children. Larry was a very caring child and always looked after his family. Lawrence Holt (Larry) was born September 4, 1951 to Dan and Maggie Holt, the second of nine children. Larry was a very caring child and always looked after his family. Larry attended Garfield High School and later continued his education at Job Corps. Larry later joined the United States armed forces, Army branch in 1973 until his honorable discharge in 1975. Lawrence made a successful career as a Welder, working with various contractors, namely Falls Stamping and Welding Co.
Larry Holt attended First Apostolic Faith Church. He loved assembling crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles in his spare time. He was an avid sports enthusiast, among his favorite teams were the Cavs. Larry loved his family very much; he never forgot a birthday or a special occasion. He never let a day go by without speaking with the family he loved so dearly.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Dan Holt Sr., and his brother, Dan Holt Jr, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Larry is survived by his beloved mother, Maggie Holt, aunt, Margaret Conner; uncles, Raymond (Robbie) Pollian, Melvin and Boostie Pollian of Memphis; sisters, Peggy Holt of Chattanooga, Barbara L (Henry) Lee, Carol Holt of Houston, Paulette Richardson, Sharon (Jeffrey) Collins, Phyllis Holt; brother, Terence (Marvis) Holt of Akron; 8 nieces and nephews, Ahkee (Amy) Ferguson, Damara Ferguson, Chazz (Maranda) Collins, Shataya Richardson, Anna Holt of Chattanooga, Dexter Collins, Teaerra (Adam) Peoples, and Amber Holt of Houston; 9 great nieces and nephews: Jarell Holt, Jasmere Holt, Kyra Ferguson, Kaleah Ferguson, Scarlett Ferguson, Ayla Holt, Ariel Peoples, Nyla Holt and AJ Peoples, and will be remembered by a host of other relatives and special friends.
