Leandria Lee Davis was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, on November 6, 1946, and was raised by his mother, Leania, and his father, Jimmie Lee. He grew up with four brothers: Ernest, Pierce, Junior, and Robert. His oldest son, Leandria “Shorty” Davis, preceded him in death.
After graduating high school in Arkansas, Lee Davis moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to pursue college, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He worked in Cleveland, Ohio, and Troy, Michigan, as a machinist and electrical engineer. He later moved to Findlay, Ohio, to pursue another career as a machinist, working for the German company Grob out of Bluffton, Ohio, where he eventually retired after 20 years of service. He was the first individual to retire from the Grob company.
Lee Davis was a quiet and laid-back individual, known by his family for his sharp skills in cooking. Leandria Lee Davis will be deeply missed by his wife, Doris Jean Davis, to whom he was happily married for 50 years, and his youngest son, Alexander Davis.
