Wife, Daughter, Mother, Eastern Star and Beloved Friend, LeeDell Wilson-Johnson, 77, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 25, 1947, in Cleveland, LeeDell spent her life deeply rooted in the community she loved. She graduated from John Hay High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career as a Pipe Fitter at LTV Steel, where she worked for over 20 years.
LeeDell was a woman of remarkable style and spirit. Known for her impeccable fashion sense and vibrant personality, she was often described as a true fashion extraordinaire—always jazzy and full of life. Her love for traveling, shopping, decorating, and fashion brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her. A proud member of the OES Eastern Star Organization, LeeDell embodied grace, dignity, and strength in all aspects of her life.
She poured love, wisdom, and a profound sense of safety into all her loved ones. Her presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to many. Though we would have loved to take one more journey with her, this is one trip we must let her take alone—carrying our love with her.
LeeDell’s legacy continues through her beloved family: her husband Bernard Johnson; her sister-cousin Shelia Charles; her daughters Marlean Wilson-Bridges (Lance Bridges), Darlean Wilson, Jaquline Ross, and Kissia Wilson (Richard Roseberry); and her stepchildren Sheba, Chris, and Ken. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Kiylah Graves, Raekwaun Roseberry, Daquanna Glen; and great-grandchildren Lennox and Legend.
She now joins in eternal rest her father James A. Rice; mother LeeDell Rice; sister Davon Rice; and granddaughter Charm Wilson.
Death does not end the story of LeeDell—it is merely a footnote in the legacy of a timeless woman. We will continue to honor her by living life just as she did: with style, strength, love, and an unyielding zest for every moment. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
