Leeode (Lee) Roddy entered this world on May 3, 1926, born to the late Thomas and Catherine Glenn. She entered her heavenly reward on May 3, 2020, at Summa Healthcare Hospital. She was born in Glendale West Virginia and was raised in Gallatin Pennsylvania. She loved working with children and devoted 15 years at Western Psychiatric Hospital for retarded children in Canonsburg PA. She later retired in 1987, from Children’s Services in Akron with 19 years of service. She was a once faithful member of her church, serving as a nurse at People’s Baptist Church and The Greater Baptist Church. She was also a board member of her former church (True Vine House of Prayer) Inc. Apostle Davide and Pastor Linda Whitaker. She loved gardening, crocheting, playing cards, and bingo. She had a love of all sports especially football, she was a diehard Steeler fan. She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her Father and Mother; brothers, Robert Hunter, Chandu, Clyde Glenn, and Thomas Glenn, Jr.; sisters, Carrie Long, Louise Taylor, Josie Washing ton; infant sister, Ernestine and adopted sister, June Peatross.
Left to mourn her passing is her daughter and best friend, Linda Gauthier (Terry); grandsons, Christopher Robinson of Akron, Ryan McCray Garfield Hts.; and granddaughter, Danielle Gauthier Neri U.S. Navy Norfolk, Virginia; sisters, Parilee Edwards Ladson of S.C, Lillian (Edward) Crawford of Monaca PA, Ella (Willie) Pettijohn Felsburg PA and Audrey Wheeler of Washington PA. She was blessed to have many special nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and a host of other family and friends.
