Lela M. Berry was born November 19, 1950, to Autrey and Jessie James McAdory (deceased).
Lela accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior and had all the Trust and Faith in God until the day she went on to Glory. Lela received her education in the Quitman County School System in Marks, Mississippi.
On July 7, 1970, Lela married Oscar Berry and to this union, two daughters were born, Carlotta Renee and Berthia LaShon. Lela started working at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority in 1976 she loved being a Bus Operator because she was a people person. She loved to talk! She was a woman of style with grace and wisdom. And enjoyed shopping, traveling being a Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was always dancing laughing and enjoying life.
Lela Mae Berry woke up early Wednesday morning, December 6, 2023 and realized the house she lived in since November 19, 1950 needed a lot of repairs. She was tired so she asked God to take her home. God told her to come on. As she was packing, she thought about all the blessings the Lord had bestowed upon her.
God is good all the time Lela Smiles down and leave so many Previous Priceless memories to cherish for daughters Renee and Shon, Her G 5 Girls; Jasmine, ChaVonte, Michell’a, Yasmine, and Lela Anniece. Her Great Grandchildren; Londyn, Nia, Kendrick, Kaydyn, Jaylen, Cartier, Lola Dior, Kamari, and Jayla. Sisters Gwynder, Iris, Charlene, Irma, Sharon (Tyrone), Michelle (deceased) Charlotte (deceased). Brothers; Ralph and Henry McAdory, Glen Ray (deceased). A host of family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends; Mary Steele and Johnny Ware. Lela loved her family and friends. Lela is home at las she had a Pleasant and Peaceful Journey. Glory be to God, Amen.
