Lelia Gray Johnson was born to the late George Winters and Bessie Tiller on July 30th, 1944. She was raised on the West side of Cleveland and attended John Marshal High and Community College. Lelia had two sisters – Evelynn Paige (deceased), Thelma Ferguson – and three brothers – George Winters (deceased), John Winters, and Elmer Winters (deceased).
She was a humorous person and could always be found making others laugh, she enjoyed playing the card game spades and was very competitive. She enjoyed time with her grandkids and great grandkids, always teaching them about Jehovah and making them laugh often.
Lelia became a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was baptized August 27th, 1997. She spent several years as a Pioneer. Lelia met and married Douglas Johnson in 2016 and had a loving marriage.
Lelia will always be cherished in the hearts of her children. Great Grandkids J’amere Hampton, Jeweleon Giddens, Janaisha Winters, Amari Brown, Krishon Massey, McKenna Massey, Devon Lloyd, Jodeci Harris, and Denim Lloyd.
