Lendora E. Wilkins, age 98, of Stow, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021. She was born on December 16, 1922, to the late Sylvester and Elizabeth Everett in Norfolk, Virginia.
Lendora was a resident of Chicago, Illinois for over 50 years and worked for the Chicago Public Schools as a school/community liaison for 40 years where she was affectionately known as “Mama Wilkins.” She relocated to Northeast Ohio in 2006 and returned to Chicago in 2015 but returned to Stow in 2020 for her final rest.
Lendora was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Thomas E. Wilkins; sons, Rayford A. Wilkins (Sheila) and Randall T. Wilkins, brothers Sylvanius and Joseph Everett; sisters, Mary Lee Everett and Carithia Prather.
She is survived by her son, Reginald L. Wilkins (Linda); daughter, Rochelle Wilkins-Stroud (Jonathan); grandsons, Yusef L. Wilkins (Youlanda), and Timothy T. Tate Jr.; granddaughters, Shalik Carew-Bynoe (Kevin), Serenity Tate, and Teadora Tate.
