Leo Jamal Scott Prewitt, 23, of Akron, Ohio was unexpectedly called home April 3, 2020. He was born September 14, 1996 to Deborah and the late Leo S. Prewitt in Akron, Ohio.
He graduated from Garfield High School Vocational Skills in Auto Body. He worked in auto detailing, which was his passion for various companies such as Fred Martin and Great Lakes Honda. His dream was to go into business for himself, owning an auto detailing company.
Leo was what one would call a gentle giant. While his exterior appearance was intimidating, he was very soft spoken, laid back and loving. He was fun spirited, and “OH SO silly.” He had such an infectious laugh. You may not have known what he was laughing about, but when he laughed, you laughed harder. Constantly joking or pulling stunts, he enjoyed his family and friends. Though he was in the prime of his life when he left this world, he lived it to the fullest. Like his late father, he had an appreciation for music and cars. Also, like his late father (in his younger years), Leo had the need for speed, burnouts and donuts.
He believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, nurturing his relationship in his own way.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo S. Prewitt; paternal grandparents, Dorothy (Butler) Finney and Leo Belton; cousin, Toni Prewitt and good friend, Cody Czerpak.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Deborah Prewitt; sisters, Shanay, Latika and Leona; maternal grandparents, Annie Birden and James (Naomi) Birden; uncles, Tony and James; aunts, Arbella, Michele, Tracey and Gloria; nieces, Noelle, Zion, LaMya, LaNysha, Armoni, Honesty, Admire, Brooklyn and Promise; nephews, David, Sincere and Knowledge; great nephew, Jayveon; cousins, Michael, Jaqueline, Clyde (Jessica), Jerome, Tyesha, Tonika, Tokeia, Tony, Jeremiah, Alexandrea and Carter; special cousins, Christopher, Xavier, Elijah, Andre, Tosha, Julius; girlfriend, Brianna; best friends, Anthony, Brittany and DeAndre; the Wright, the Tate and the Belton families, along with a wide host of family and friends.
Leo Jamal Scott Prewitt, who had many nicknames, was loved by many. He will be incredibly missed, but will forever remain in our hearts.
