My condolences to the family on he loss of your mother, grand and great grandmother. I've been knowing Mother Martin all my life, as a child growing up in the New Canaan Primitive Baptist she was the last surviving adult of that era. Growing up never knowing that one day my granddaughter would be her great granddaughter. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. I will also be forever grateful to her for one day while at her house as a preteen I got to eat some of her collard greens. So good!! That is where I learned about putting okra in my greens. After all these 50 some odd years I still cook my greens that way!! Thank you!! RIH until we meet again!!

My deepest condolences to the family. I met Mother Martin years ago at United. She became my mentor and friend. She called me "poo" and had me over for dinner every Sunday when she stayed on Grace Ave. I will always remember our many talks and her spiritual advice. I will miss her so much. Rip my dear friend.

To the Martin Family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Martin was a joy to anyone she met. Always telling you how good God is and would make you feel like family, no matter who you were. She fought a good fight and kept the faith, now she’s home with Jesus,. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. May God give you strength and send the comforter to sustain you through this time. Much Love, Mignon Miller
