LeVerne Powell 76, was called home to eternal rest with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at The Convalarium of Dublin Nursing Home in Dublin, OH.
LeVerne was born on January 28, 1948 to the late Joseph W. Satterwhite and Anna K. Satterwhite. She was raised in a Christian home where she confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. During her younger years she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church under the Pastorage of Pastor. T. Dewitt Smith. She loved to sing, and you could occasionally hear her singing a solo in the Adult Choir Sunday mornings on the radio. She later became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
LeVerne was educated in Akron Public Schools and graduated from John R. Buchtel High School. She later became a Registered Nurse at Akron General Hospital and Akron City Hospital. She was also a Licensed Beautician and later retired as a Teacher for Early Childhood Special Education. LeVerne moved from Akron, OH in 2012 and became a resident of Reynoldsburg, OH for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandparents, Husband Silver C. Powell, Brothers Robert L. Satterwhite and Charles L. Satterwhite, Nephew Billy Satterwhite. Sister Cheryl R. Satterwhite and Grand-Daughter Marquita Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory; Sister JoAnne Minter of Wayne, MI, Daughters SunDae (Tyrone) Washington of Columbus, OH, and Evette Parker of Akron, OH. Son Silver Powell, Jr and Step-Son Theodore “Cedric” (Debbie) Williams of Akron, OH. Grandchildren: Sheena, Ashley, Keyonta, SaVonne, Stephen, Natashzia, Silver (III), Sashaelle, Chereel, Betty, Treasure and special Great-Grandson also known as her little man, Zaden. She leaves to cherish her memory 16 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
