Levoyus McClain Sr., age 67, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2020.
Levoyus McClain Sr., affectionately known as “Lee,” was born in Cleveland, OH November 14, 1953 to the late Hattie Mae McClain (Scovil) and Gervest McClain Sr. He was the second eldest child of four children.
Lee attended public schools in Cleveland, OH including John Adams High School.
On July 14, 1973, Lee was wed to his childhood sweetheart, Brenda Denise McClain (Hardaway). From their union they were blessed to raise 10 children. They shared 48 years of love and companionship that will be carried on forever. One of the things they loved to do is take a cruise every year to spend quality time together and get away from the cold weather in Cleveland.
Lee worked for Automated Wheel for over 19 years. Because he was a seasoned hard worker, management often looked to him to assist the supervisor with training employees and assisting with some of the other day to day duties.
In Lee’s spare time, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren, as family was a priority. He also had a knack for fixing cars, so family and friends would always come to him for his advice. You would see a few cars lined up in the driveway that he was working on that kept him busy while listening to his music. One of his favorite artists was Rick James.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Chamecka; one sister, Carolyn Sutton and two brothers, Jeffrey McClain and Donald McClain.
Lee’s memory is cherished by his loving and dedicated wife, Brenda; three daughters, Shanese, Sharria and Chaleeia along with seven sons, Levoyus Jr. (LeTisha), Franklin, Branden, Randy, Adam, Christian and Christopher Tatum Sr.; over 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; one brother, Gervest Jr.; aunts and uncles, Magnolia Rogers, Bertha Green, Delores Iverson, Lola Green and Walter McClain of Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Hardaway, Wanda Hardaway, Beller Hardaway, Antoine Hardaway and a host of relatives and friends.
