Lillie Mae Trammell went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2022. Lillie was born in Rome, Georgia on March 18, 1940, youngest of four to the late, Lavancy Giddings. She was blessed with almost 82 years of life. She will truly be missed by those who knew her.
Lillie met her late husband, Walter Trammell, and after starting their family they relocated to Akron, Ohio. Lillie was the matriarch of 3 generations and the mother of 6.
One thing about Lille is she loved to shop and her favorite place to go was the thrift store. Her favorite hobbies included playing cards and bowling in her bowling lead.
Lillie became a school crossing guard with Akron Public Schools, providing services for David Hill, Barrett, and Robinson Elementary Schools for 18 years. Although, she did not consider being a crossing guard a job. Lillie loved caring for the safety of the children and waving to passengers passing by. Many people embraced her warm smile and friendly greetings as it brightened their days. Lillie took great joy in the fact that several of the students had expressed their desire to be crossing guards when they become adults.
