OBITUARY
Linda G Osborne Hopkins was born on December 20, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the
union of Clevtris Taylor and Louise Osborne. From an early age, she displayed a vibrant
spirit, creativity, and a deep love for learning. She received her childhood education through Cleveland Public Schools and was a proud graduate of John Adams High School. Driven by her passion for expression, Linda continued her education at Cuyahoga Community College, where she studied Communications, and later attended the Ohio School of Broadcasting. From there, she was dynamic in serving her community and would use her knowledge in communications in many ways throughout her life.
As a young adult, Linda rededicated her life to God and became deeply rooted in her
faith. She was a devoted ministry leader and a published writer for The Way International,
serving faithfully as a disciple for Christ . Linda lived boldly and unapologetically, believing
wholeheartedly in sharing the truth in God’s word and spreading the Good News. She was
united in holy matrimony to her loving husband of 28 years, Melvin Hopkins, with whom
she shared a life marked by love, partnership, and unwavering devotion.
A woman of many talents and passions, Linda exuded creativity in many ways. She
was a writer, a gifted voice and vocal coach, and an overall creative genius. She loved to sing, write songs, craft poems, and could play instruments like guitar and violin. However
dancing was one of her greatest joys. Whether it be ballroom, salsa, or line dancing with the family, dancing moved her spirit. She also loved skating, tennis, and hairstyling as she was proudly known as the “go-to braider” of her neighborhood. Linda loved to express her
creative works by speaking on large platforms and performing before audiences, fearlessly
sharing her creative gifts with the world and above all with her three beloved children.
Continuing to be guided by God and the spirit of adventure, she carried her joy beyond
borders, as she spread joy internationally by serving as a travel agent and helping others
explore the world.
