Sister Linda Floyd, age 76, passed away on April 22, 2024.
Linda was born in Bloomingburg, OH to Joesph Grey and Ruth Grey. Linda graduated from Washington Court House high school and moved to Cleveland Ohio to pursue a career in nursing at Tri-C. She finished her education with a master’s in nursing. She worked in every form of nursing before settling in as a dialysis nurse working her way up the ladder to be the director of multiple facilities. Linda married Wallace Floyd of Louisville, Kentucky on December 21, 1976, in Cleveland. They had two children Jeremy and Michael who she would describe as her pride and joy.
Linda enjoyed traveling to Washington Court House Ohio to spend time with her family she also liked to travel to Florida to visit her best friend of over 50 years Carolanne. She was devoted to her love of God and always cherished memories of time spent with her church family, her YaYa sister group of friends, and the many dinners that they had together. Her hobbies were shopping, having a nice meal and spending time with friends and family watching movies over a pizza and diet Pepsi where she would sometimes start singing Tina Turner songs in between telling stories that would have the whole room laughing. Always ready with a meal or cash for whomever, always saying you better take this blessing so you don’t block mine. She was the first lady of Mt. Nebo Church located in Canton Ohio.
She was preceded in death by Wallace Floyd (Spouse), Joesph Grey (Father), Ruth Grey (Mother), Dianne Jackson (Sister).
Linda is survived by son Jeremy Floyd; son Michael Floyd; daughter-in-law Stephanie Floyd; daughter-in-law Heather Floyd; sister Stella McCollough; brother Gary Card; granddaughter Kyla Floyd; grandson Caleb Floyd; granddaughter Michaela Floyd; grandson Kayden Floyd; grandson Kingston Floyd; great-granddaughter Deliah Floyd, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Linda’s memory will live on through all the lives that she touched and the people who she loved.
