Londell Addison Smith was born February 5, 1950 in Cleveland, OH to the late Cordelle Smith and Ammer Lee Smith (Williams). He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He was active in the church choir, and the youth usher board at Gethsemane Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Wilbur R. Jones. He was educated in the Cleveland Public School system and completed two years of college. Londell enlisted into the United States Army where he served his country in 1972.
Londell worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years where held many positions during his tenure before retirement. He loved staying active and busy. His hobbies included golfing which was his favorite, hand dancing, traveling (especially his annual golf trips), listening to old school music, and singing. He was an active and loving father to both of his children who he talked about often. He loved spending time with family and friends. From family dinners, celebrations, birthdays, or just because, you could count on him to be there. One of his greatest accomplishments was having 37 years of sobriety. He loved attending his home groups and conferences where he also sponsored and supported many individuals on their own sobriety journey. He was a proud Cleveland sports fan who enjoyed cheering on his hometown teams the Browns and the Cavs. Known for always being well dressed and groomed, he carried himself with confidence and style everywhere he went although he was always late. Londell was a person that everyone could count on. Whether you needed advice, someone to listen, or simply show up, he was there for family and friends.
