Lottie Acklin passed away at home on December 20, 2023, where she was surrounded by her family.
Lottie was born on November 12, 1939 to the late John Henry Berry and Polly(Burton) Berry. She was one of fifteen children born to this union.
Lottie was proceeded in death by her husband, Elvie Acklin; sons: Kirk Acklin and Demel Acklin. Lottie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church; where she served on the usher board for several years. Her love for the Lord and strong faith has sustained her throughout her life.
Lottie worked many jobs: BF Goodrich, Valley View Nursing Home, Uniwear and Summa Hospital; where she retired in 2003.
Lottie enjoyed reading her Bible and studying the Word, cooking, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters:
Veronica (Sam) Bishop, of Twinsburg, OH, and Denise Hope Grant, of Akron, OH.; Six Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren; three sisters: Leatha Davis, of Lorain, OH., Ethel White, of Antioch, TN. and Polly (Ozzie) Willis, of Detroit, MI.; one brother-in-law, David Clements of Detroit, MI.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
