Lucius B. Robinson was born April 6, 1922, in Shelby County, Alabama to George Robinson and Lizzy (Sutton). After his honorable discharge from the Army in 1945, Lucius migrated to Akron. He was employed by Lockhart Construction from 1952 until his retirement in 1980.
Lucius was of the Baptist denomination and was a member of North Hill Community Baptist Church. In his free time, Lucius loved to work on cars. He had a caring and giving heart; always willing to help anyone in need. He loved people and people loved him.
Lucius was the best father, step-father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and husband anyone could ask for! To know him was luck, and to love him was a blessing. The light that Lucius shined upon so many has left Earth; what was bright has now been dimmed. He was well-loved and will be extremely missed, the world has loss a great man.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Robinson; mother, Lizzy Sutton; brother, Toby; sister, Annie; cousin, Hubbard; and many other family members.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Sarah May Robinson; children, Lucius, Robert, and Cynthia; grandchildren, Shetika, Sarah, Robert, Rodrick, Shequita, and Susie; many great grandchildren; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
