Luvenia Hargrove was born March 13, 1927, in Tampa, Florida, to David and Ethel Gibson. In her late teens she came to Ohio with some of her family. She met the love of her life, Harrington Hargrove, and was married until his death.
She worked two jobs tirelessly for several years. In addition to her day job, she also worked with Ravenna Oak Rubber for several years, where she was affectionately known as “grandma.”
Luvenia was first a woman of prayer, rooted and grounded in God and in the completed work of His Son, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the glue she used to hold her family together. It also kept her standing in the toughest of times in her life and made her thankful for the best of times. She was her family’s friend, mentor, and confidant…SHE WAS THEIR ROCK!!
