Lynelle R. Dixson Jr. was born to the union of the late Lynelle R. Dixson Sr. and the late Francis (Jones) Dixson September 13, 1947.
He was educated in Akron Public Schools. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy during which he traveled the world.
He was a dedicated employee of Babcock & Wilcox as an x-ray and ultrasound technician retiring after 50 faithful years of service. He was a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron, ship builders, Blacksmith Forgers, and helpers, Local No. 900.
Lynelle was an avid reader and had a great interest in science. Lynelle was very loving to his family and everyone who crossed his path. He had a giving heart and assisted anyone that had a need. Lynelle also had a special place in his heart and love for children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in laws Raymond and Evelyn Harris, and special Aunt Evelyn Dixson.
He leave to cherish his memory, loving devoted wife of 25 years Jackie whom he treated like a queen, brother Dennis A Dixson (Akron, OH), sister in law Phyllis Perkins (Akron, OH), brothers in law Melvyn Harris Sr. (El Paso, Texas) and Leon Harris Sr. (Akron, OH); special nieces: Sherell Taylor (Robert), Melissa Perkins, and Whitney Taylor (all of Akron), and Alicia Nicole Springfield-Dixson (California); godson Wesley Taylor and goddaughter Candace Johnson (both of Akron); special co-worker friend Tony Chicken Hawk who thought of Lynelle as a second father; and a host of family and friends.
