Madeline Batties passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Akron, Ohio, where she resided. She was born in Akron and attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from Garfield High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Batties Sr. and Mattie M. Batties; sisters, Summer Batties and Betty Jean Williams; brothers, Melvin Batties-who was her twin brother, Thomas J. Batties Jr., Danny Spencer, James Toomer and Ronald Toomer.
Madeline leaves to cherish her memory, son, Gregory Edwards; sisters, Minnie Primes, Ether Varner and Patricia (Anthony) Sessions; brothers, Donald (Roberta) Toomer of Berkeley, CA, George (Sheryl) Toomer of Westchester, OH, Robert Toomer of Bedford, OH and William Toomer of Akron, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and friends.
