Maggie Coston was born June 8, 1934, in Clayton, Alabama to Charles Owens and Alver Flinn. She was raised by her “beloved” Grandma Charlotte whom she loved dearly.

She moved to Akron, Ohio where she met the love of her Bennie Coston. They were married in February 1958 and were blessed to raise six beautiful children.

Maggie lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved to cook and bake; you were sure to eat a good meal and a piece of her delicious pound or German Chocolate cake with every visit. She kept an immaculate home with nothing ever out of its place.

Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her daughters and sons’ strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and will live in our hearts forever.

Maggie is preceded in death by her parents Charles Owens and Alver Jackson, her beloved husband of 55 years Bennie Coston, son Bennie Coston Jr. daughters Helen Bates, Marilyn Vinson, and Debra Spruill, grandsons Kenneth Vinson, Ryan Vinson, and Jamel Townsend.

Maggie leaves to cherish her memories her devoted sons Michael, and Marcus Coston, Carmela Coston magnificent caretaker and wonderful daughter -n- love, adopted son Kerry Franklin, special granddaughter Kim (Jason) Brown, grandchildren Candace Vinson, Stacy Bates of Cincinnati, Oh., Sonnet Vinson, Dawn Vinson, Michael Coston Jr., of Columbus Ga., Mario (Crystal) Coston of Columbus, Oh., and Michelle Coston. 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, Brother Ivy  (Ruby) Jackson of Columbus, Oh., and sister Penny Jackson. Special cousin Deacon John Miles, special Niece, and Nephew Kelly Richarson and Jerome Jackson, special friend Nancy Pryor and a host of other relatives and friends.
