Malinda Kay Davis was called to eternal rest in the arms of God on December 11, 20221. Millinda was born July 27, 1960, in Mobile, Alabama to Leeo Tolbert and S.T. Cecil Davis. At the age of 8, Malinda’s mom moved to Cleveland, Ohio.
Malinda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John R. Bogge. Melinda graduated with the class of 1978 from East Tech High School in Cleveland. She last worked at Lake Anna Nursing Home until her health failed, though she loved nurturing from a young age and caring for infants.
Malinda was always the life of the party during family events and gatherings, she kept everyone laughing and always spoke her mind. She loved cooking, shopping for bargains, dressing nice and always keeping a clean house!
She was preceded in death by her mom, Leeo Tolbert; dad, S.T. Cecil Davis; son, RayShun; and brother, Alford Davis.
She leaves to mourn her life-time partner, Kenny Thomas; sons, Donte, DeAndre and Kenny Thomas II; grandchildren, Mason, Oakland, Julian, Jordan, Jeremey, Lauren, Kendall and Caleb; siblings, Allen of Cleveland, OH, Arnold (Melissa) of Atlanta, GA, Marilyn of Cleveland, OH and Carolyn (Neco) of Akron, OH; aunts, Erma Armstrong of Metra Cleveland, OH and Martha Dickerson of Alabama; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Cooper; brother-in-law, Keith Thomas of Akron, OH; sisters-in-law, Shoiven Thomas and Tracey Thomas both of Akron, OH; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
