Mr. Marcus Jay Bennie was born on September 26, 1973, in Chicago,
Illinois to the late Jack Smith Bennie and Bettye Jean Bennie. The family moved to Bedford, Ohio when Marcus was about 2 years old.
Marcus accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized. He was educated in Bedford City School System and graduated from Bedford High School in June 1992.
Marcus loved to cook so he pursued his dream, and enrolled in Loretta
Paganini School of Cooking in Chesterland, Ohio. He completed the course and received a Chef’s Certificate. Marcus was currently working as a Chef at “Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant” in Orange Village. Marcus was a professional who was proficient in all aspects of food preparation. His food was delicious, appetizing, and satisfying. Marcus began his career there during the Covid Pandemic era, and worked diligently every day. He was dependable any time they needed an extra hand he was there.
Marcus was a great father and an awesome son to his mother. He lived with her for the last several years, and was her constant companion, making sure she made her doctor’s appointments, hair appointments, and for sure he kept her fed.
He will truly be missed by all. He leaves to cherish his memory, Mother Bettye J. Bennie, five children, Calvin, Marcus Jr., Markayla, Jasmine, and Emonie. Sister, Armina K. Robinson, one granddaughter, one niece,
Kimberly Wiggins (Wil), two Nephews Michael Robinson (Tiffany),
Simon Robinson, three uncles, one aunt and a host of cousins, family and friends .
His story ended, but his name will live on. Marcus Jay Bennie, Jr.
