Marcus Jordan,Sr was born September 21st, 1947, in Cleveland, OH, to Mrs. Murdis Jordan-Hill. Marcus was the eldest of five children. He was educated in the Cleveland Public School. Graduated from Max Hayes HS in the year 1965. Being the person, he was Marcus was nominated Valedictorian and turn it down.
Marcus took a interest in truck driving and vehicles while helping his stepfather at Spitzer Ford Dealership at an early age. His uncle John introduced him to trucking driving while employed at Fridge Foods at the age of 17 years old. He remain as the Senior driver until closing of the company. He was later hired at Peck Foods in year of 2000. Later joined Northern Haserot until retirement in the year 2003. He served 38 years as a Truck Driver, member of Local 400.
Marcus met the love of his life Bernice while making a delivery at school of which she was employed. They married September 29, 1984, and they were married for 41 years. To that union they had three children, He became an honorary member of Williams Chapel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Mark L. Perry. He later became an honorary member of Citadel of Faith Ministries under the leadership of his brother-in-love Administration Assistant David S, Mckenzie, Sr. Marcus help with the infant stage of building COFM.
Marcus was known to everyone a kind soul. He was a step-in father to the children in the neighborhood who had absentee fathers. No one had a negative word to say about him, He also was known Papa J to his children friends. A great supporter and faithful friend to all of his family and friends. He gave wise counsel with very few words. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Marcus departed this life Saturday October 25, 2025, at 6:30pm. He was preceded in death by his mother Murdis Hill, two aunts Gladys, Lois and uncle John Jordan. Two nephew Troy, Jr & Daniel Aaron. One niece Chandala Scott.

. Two sons Marcus Jr (Tyler), Michael Sr, Margiarie, Special daughter Romea Davis. Seven grandchildren Messiah Davis, Mikayla, Amiyah, Michael Jr, Denver, Mikhi, Aniyah Jordan. Two special grandchildren Aubrey and Lauren Taylor. Four Siblings Gladys Hood, Eddie Jordan, Marcella (George) Morrow, Loretta Hill. Ten Brothers in Love, Thirteen Sisters in Love and Three Aunts. A Grand Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. He will be greatly missed. A Legacy of Love and Grace.
