She was Baptized at an early age at Bragg Hill Methodist Church and graduated from Greenville High School she had four children.
A Time to Build
Before settling down Marie lived in New. Orleans, once she arrived in Cleveland, she went to school at Cuyahoga Community College. She married her soulmate Lloyd N. Gilbert in February 1993. She was employed by Cleveland Metropolitan School District and retired in 2009. Marie was a loving, caring, and fun person who loved to cook. listen to music, and throw parties, she was known and loved by many and everyone affectionally called her different nicknames.

Marie was called home August 8, 2022, she is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, two sons Bruce & Tyrone and one grandson Christopher, she leaves to mourn her passing her mother Sarah Williams, two children Yolanda & Leander Davis, seven grandkids, Fonda (Jason) Posey Alabama, Tiffany Davies, Florida, Marquis (Camillia) Bradley, Korticha (Christopher) Walker, Ronderries (Monica) Davis (Alabama), Katia Davis, Anthony Phillips, significant others Christopher Corbin, Melvin Armstrong (Alabama) Her Best friend of over 60 years Barbara Vason and her dearest Aunt Bessie Weems, 27 great grandkids, Arlyric, Javion (Alabama) Jade, Jamarcus, Demi, Delaney (Florida) Amari, Morgan, Mariah, Marquis Jr, Keymirah, Kaylanie, Kylan, Cayson, Alianna, Alanni, Andreo (Cleveland), Quinesha, Christopher Jr., Elijah, Raven, Christian, London, Landen, DeAvionne, Jastaria & Jacobian (Alabama) and 3 great-great grandkids Aiden, Kaden, & Kameron (Alabama) along with a host of relatives and friends.
