On September 7, 2018, God called home our beloved mother, sister, aunt, niece and dear friend Marilyn Ann Stone, a God-fearing Soul.  Born December 6, 1943, in St. Louis, MO to the late Hazel and Hessie (Dobbs) Bogan, the fourth of seven children.

Marilyn attended Akron North High and was educated through the Akron Public School system.  Marilyn spent over 43 years in the healthcare field working as a Senior Technician.  Lastly working with Akron General Medical Center.  In 2015, after many years of caring for others, Marilyn retired from the healthcare field.

Marilyn worshiped the Lord with Unity Holy Ministries.  She was an avid gardener earning many accolades from the City of Akron.  Her love for the holidays showed in her home through decorations, family meals and gatherings.

Preceded in death by father and mother, Hazel and Hessie (Dobbs) Bogan, husband John T. Stone of 35 years and brother Harold L. Bogan.  She is survived by her children Sheila, Anthony (Jennifer) and Rhonda (Michael) Stone-Wilson; grandchildren, Ebony, Anthony Jr., Rashad, Jordan, Jaylyn, Emmanuel and Isayah; great-grandchildren, Emari, Rashad, Jr., Chase and Nari; sisters, Dorothy Robinson, Ida Robinson, Betty Joseph, Hazel Bogan, Millie McMillian, Mary Brown and brother, Louis Bucey; in-laws, Lucille (Samuel) Henderson, Maggie Riggins and Donel Stone; Valerie Hardin; favorite niece and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
